Meet Dr. Shelley Cooper, the CEO and founder of COME ON NOW! as well as a seasoned healthcare strategist. Her story goes like this…the day before Valentine’s Day in 2018, her father passed away in his sleep. He needed healthcare and couldn’t get an appointment soon enough. If the COME ON NOW! platform had been available it could have saved his life by allowing him to see a doctor ASAP. Dr. Cooper’s father inspired her mission to connect patients to healthcare appointments faster and more conveniently through her one-of-a-kind app designed to benefit both the patient and the provider.
When there are no-shows and late cancellations, the patients are the last ones to find out about it. Doctors and office staff are busy and normally don’t have time to fill their slots. Besides massive losses in revenue, this also creates a discontinuity of care for medically fragile patients, like Dr. Cooper’s father and others. This accessibility gap negatively affects clinics' quality measures and it does not serve patients.
Dr. Cooper aimed to solve these problems with the COME ON NOW! app so no one would have to suffer a loss of a loved one that could have been prevented through faster healthcare access.
